For the wire safety clip, we can untie it directly by hand.

4. Replace the fresh trunk gas spring: After loosening the retaining clips, pull out the old trunk gas springs, repeat it in another 3 ball joint or plastic end fittings. Then take one piece of new trunk springs and insert them into the holes where the old ones were. Please note to put the rod down will make the gas struts a damping performance, and also can extend the struts’ lifespan. Press your hand on the end fittings to snap it into place on your car. Check and ensure that each lift support locks into the correct place.

5. Test the performance of your new trunk lid pistons: Remove the holding stick and slowly close the trunk, then open the trunk and repeat this process at least 3 times to ensure that they’re working correctly. Make sure that the gas struts can keep the trunk stays open and can be closed smoothly.
