How to Adjust the Lift Supports Mounting Position?
When installing the lift struts on an excellent finished surface and wanting it to slowly open, try to move it and find where it will work best. When you adjust the Top mounting point(B), you should simultaneously adjust the bottom mounting point(A).
If you feel powerful, move the upper mounting point 0.8 inches towards the hinge on the lid (0.8 inches once).
If you feel weak, move the upper mounting point 0.8 inches towards the opposite of the hinge on the lid (0.8 inches once).

Installed these about 6 months ago on about 20 cabinets. Love them. Work great and a great price.
very easy to install
I needed something to hold a door in my camper on which I have my TV mounted. At midpoint, the door weighed about 12 lbs. These struts hold the door well; they arrived on time; were a breeze to install (about 15 minutes); appear well made and came with strong hardware. (I had just returned another set of struts of the same rating which wouldn’t hold and with hardware that twisted when I tried to install them). So far, I am well pleased. We’ll see how they they hold up over time.
